finished it around 3 or 4 a.m. after twenty-something hours of non-sleeping, and with another twenty-something sleepless hours ahead. i waited for the taxi that would take me to the train station at 5:10 a.m. i was writing a letter as an attachment to the cd, using the rainy pen on a sand-coloured paper. i don't remember what i've written (; probably a weird mixture of metaphysical, silly and random stuff. the regular.
cover-making was put off to the last minute. but of course.
the idea came to me at one of the last lectures in the history of nordic art.
well, the results were that i was packed, the dormitory was cleared of any useful tools and so - i didn't have any pencil to make a sketch, no ruler to measure the paper and - no scissors to cut out the cover. i used a huge kitchen knife. now imagine this: me, in a lunatic state in the morning greyness, with a huge kitchen knife, cutting paper. i could call it 'adventure' ^^' though i swore a bit in all languages i knew. from greek to japanese.
didn't have a glue either. the pic is fastened by rolled tape and i really hope nobody will get ahe idea to take the pic out.
the cd itself was the promised cd in exchange for the one i got from peter last november. it should be the bestest songs ever but i so suck at choosing such stuff. so i just copied the playlist i was listening to the whole may. and called it a partial print. well, 'my variation on...'
77 tracks, peter's lucky number doubled. mostly singer-songwriter, indie, alternative, downtempo, ballad and female-vocalists. we'll see (;
the thought in the pic is catching myself. the relation was-am-will be. the process of getting grip of the essence, grasping a continuum instead of getting stuck in a confused existential staccato.
